Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research Bikeathon 2010

The 14th Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research London Bikeathon took place on the 27th June, raising over half a million pound. The money raised will go towards finding a cure for blood caners. This was the 50th anniversary for Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research, and they decided to use Gaudio bespoke awards rather than the usual off-the-shelf plaques. The charity were thrilled with the awards and told us:

"Just wanted to say a huge thank you for your help with our awards this year. They looked so much better than our previous wooden plaques and it’s great that our fundraisers can keep their awards this time rather than handing them back after a year. Thanks so much again for your help and I hope that we can work together again next year!"

The awards were presented to the top fundraisers at an awards dinner, with celebrity presenters including John Michie (Taggart), Michelle Cockayne and Tony Audenshaw from Emmerdale.

Gaudio Produces Scottish Sports Awards

The fourth annual Scottish Sports awards took place on the 2nd December at the Glasgow Hilton. Liverpool and Scotland legend Kenny Dalglish (pictured) picked up a lifetime achievement award at the event hosted by his daughter Kelly Dalglish and Stephen Jardine. Alan Hansen paid tribute to his pal Kenny, saying he was not just a great footballer but a great man: "It's a privilege to be here tonight to present the award."

Some of the biggest names in sport, including Neil Lennon, Walter Smith and world champions such as Stephen Hendry, Liz McColgan and Rhona Martin, all braved the icy conditions to attend the event. Other winners on the night included Colin Montgomerie, who lifted the Ryder Cup after masterminding Europe's win over the USA at Celtic Manor. He sent a video acceptance before ex-caddy Craig Connolly picked up the award, saying: "I'm used to carrying his clubs. Now I'm carrying his awards."

The awards, created by Gaudio, are manufactured from mirror polished aluminium and detailed with colour print and engraving.

Brian Moore Wins William Hill Sports Book of the Year Award

Gaudio Awards have once again produced the "world's richest sports book prize" for William Hill. The William Hill Sports Book of the Year is dedicated to rewarding excellence in sports writing. This year's winner, Beware Of The Dog, is an autobiography by Telegraph columist Brian Moore.

Graham Sharpe, the co-founder of the William Hill prize said of Moore's book, “As a trained solicitor and a lover of opera, fine wine and Shakespeare, Brian Moore is no ordinary sportsman,” Sharpe said. “So it follows that this is no ordinary book. It’s a fascinating exploration of what lies beneath the tough exterior of one of England’s greatest rugby players.”
