Jane Devonshire Wins MasterChef 2016 Trophy

Mum of four Jane Devonshire became the latest amateur chef to be crowned MasterChef Champion on Friday. Almost six million people tuned in to see her lift the custom trophy thanks to a menu of winkles on toast, curried lamb and rhubarb and custard.

Do awards make a good incentive?

Awards and trophies have been used as an incentive for hundreds of years with evidence dating back to the 1600’s of trophies for sporting events. It’s hard to imagine an event without awards and trophies. What would happen at the end of the FA Cup final without a trophy?
