The first ever Official Charts Number 1 Album Award has been presented to non other than Ed Sheeran for his album X after the record jumped back to number 1 a year after release.

We have been working with the Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research charity for several years, providing awards for various events and it is a charity that is very close to our hearts. Our most recent project was to design some bespoke awards for their Calendar Girls events, which was a great success and raised much needed funds for the charity.

The winners of the Student Nursing Times Awards were announced last week at a glitzy ceremony held at The Grange in London. The event, now in it's second year, was attended by over 400 inspirational nurses, education providers and mentors. 17 custom designed awards were handed out to students, mentors and lecturers who excel and go the extra mile.

Another busy day at Confex yesterday, and this time the focus was on awards ceremonies. First up was inspiring talk from Caroline Jackson Levy, CEO of UBM Awards, explaining how to please all of the people all of the time. Theo Walcott Named as the Arsenal Player of the Month

Theo Walcott has been selected by the fans as the EA Sports player of the month for October after picking up 31.4% of the vote. Although the England international only made one start last month, his hat-trick against Reading in the Capital One Cup made a lasting impression on the supporters. Theo sparked the famous comeback from 4-0 down and scored the winning goal in injury time to secure a 6-5 win.

Sahara Force India Wins Gaudio Trophy for Fastest Pit Stop

The Sahara Force India team picked up its first trophy of the year last weekend for the fastest pit stop at the Malaysia grand prix. The bespoke trophy was commissioned by Sky Sports for the new F1 channel. The design is based around the profile of the guns used by the pit team to remove the wheels, and is manufactured from polished aluminium.

60-year-old retired landlord from Leicestershire, Robert Baguley, was declared winner of this years UKIPT PokerStars tournament, picking up the Gaudio designed trophy and £210,400 in the process!

Princess Beatrice takes part in the Olympic Park Run

5000 runners took part in the National Lottery Olympic Park Run at the weekend, and became the first people to cross the Olympic finish line. The runners included members of the public, celebrities and royalty! Princess Beatrice started the runners and took part in the 5 mile run, before awarding the winners with their Gaudio designed Olympic Trophies.

After 120 gruelling minutes Ajax and Internazionale Milano could not be separated in the NextGen series final held at Leyton Orient on Saturday. 2,500 fans watched as the game progressed to penalties and Inter managed to beat firm favourites Ajax.

Lighting Design Award Winners Announced

Last night (21st March) saw the return of the Lighting Design Awards for the 10th year at the prestigious London Hilton. The ceremony recognises the country's leading lighting designers, manufacturers and architects. Comedian Rob Deering hosted the event with over 700 people gathered in the audience.

Specialist from the Construction Industry Awarded at Glitzy Ceremony

The Specialists Awards 2012 took place on Tuesday 20th March at the London Hilton, celebrating the achievements of the UK's leading specialist contractors in the construction industry. The awards are one of the construction industry's most notable annual events, recognising and rewarding the best specialist contractors in the business.
